SAMPLE began with a curiosity about the fashion industry's unseen process. I started researching the garment samples that never make it into production and what makes those pieces so rare and desirable. That led me to ask a different question: Could I apply that same thinking to clothing I create myself?

Developed as my MFA thesis, SAMPLE became an experimental fashion project exploring sustainability, craftsmanship, and the value of one-of-one garments. Using reclaimed clothing as my foundation, I hand screen-printed every piece and built a complete visual identity around the collection—from branding, packaging, and editorial design to photography, exhibition design, and environmental graphics.

Rather than designing a seasonal collection, SAMPLE explores the idea that process can be just as meaningful as the final product. Every decision was intended to celebrate experimentation, embrace imperfection, and demonstrate how thoughtful branding can transform discarded materials into a cohesive fashion experience.

Thesis Show Identity & Marketing - Otis College of Art & Design, Los Angeles, CA

Subtext was a collaborative brand identity developed with my cohort of 11 designers to unify and represent our two MFA thesis exhibitions. Working as part of the larger team, I focused on the editorial side of the identity, designing the posters and exhibition booklets that guided visitors through each show.

The first exhibition featured two distinct 5.5 × 8.5" booklets, each using a different color to create a dynamic, approachable directory for the participating designers and their work. For the second exhibition, I developed a more refined 8.5 × 11" full-color publication on white, expanding the system into a more comprehensive editorial piece.

Designed to function both as an exhibition guide and a take-home artifact, the booklets gave visitors a way to navigate 11 individual thesis projects while creating a lasting physical record of the exhibitions. The project was an opportunity to explore editorial design, information hierarchy, and print as an extension of a larger collaborative identity.

Football has always been more than a game to me. After growing up playing the sport,

I became fascinated by the emotions that exist beyond the final score.

That perspective became the foundation for FIFA × adidas,

a conceptual brand film exploring the emotional rhythm of football through motion design, live-action footage, archival World Cup broadcasts, and animation. Rather than celebrating only the world's biggest stars, I wanted to place the everyday athlete within the same visual language as the sport's most iconic moments, reinforcing the idea that football belongs to everyone who has ever stepped onto a pitch.

The project blends cinematic storytelling with brand integration, using nostalgia, movement, and layered visual systems to capture the passion and collective memory that make football the world's game. More than a motion piece, it became an exploration of how design can communicate emotion, identity, and the universal experiences that connect players across every level of the sport.

Post-Nirvana began as an exploration of experimental typography and how type alone can shape the identity of a music event. Inspired by the raw energy and visual culture surrounding Nirvana, I developed a conceptual branding campaign for a fictional three-day festival in Los Angeles that celebrated the band's legacy while establishing its own distinct visual language.

The project expanded beyond a series of promotional posters into a complete event identity, including merchandise, VIP and vendor credentials, promotional materials, and supporting campaign assets. By carrying a consistent graphic system across every touchpoint, the work explores how typography, branding, and marketing come together to create an experience long before attendees ever arrive at the venue.

Starting with the visual identity, I developed a cohesive system that extended throughout the retail experience, including in-store graphics, branded merchandise, shopping bags, signage, and other customer-facing touch-points.

Every element was designed to strengthen the store's identity while creating a consistent experience both inside and outside the storefront. As the brand evolved, so did its marketing. Beyond the retail environment, I created ongoing social media content, promotional graphics, and poster campaigns supporting major sneaker releases and community events.

By balancing day-to-day marketing with larger campaign moments, the project demonstrates how a flexible brand system can adapt across digital, print, and physical spaces while maintaining a consistent visual voice.

6th Scale is an experimental editorial publication that reimagines the traditional screenplay as a visually driven storytelling experience.

Over the course of a semester, I researched, wrote, and developed an original fictional film concept, translating its narrative into an immersive booklet rather than a conventional script.

Through handmade print experiments, scanned physical materials, and carefully sequenced layouts, the publication visualizes scenes, props, and atmosphere to communicate the film's tone, pacing, and direction.

The result is a conceptual piece that explores how editorial design can transform storytelling into an intuitive and cinematic visual experience.

AURORA

BA Graphic Design Senior Exhibition - 2024
Brand Identity / Fashion Design / Editorial / Exhibition Design

Aurora marked the beginning of my long-term exploration into branding, fashion, and exhibition design through the creation of a conceptual winter apparel label. Inspired by the colors of the aurora borealis and the contrast between the Arctic Circle's long days and long nights, the collection translated natural phenomena into a visual identity expressed through black and white garments accented with vibrant seasonal color.

Presented as a complete brand ecosystem, the project combined upcycled apparel, hand screen-printing, editorial photography, publication design, and exhibition design into a cohesive visual experience. Every element, from the garments and lookbook to the environmental graphics and gallery installation, was designed to communicate a singular brand narrative.

Centered around themes of sustainability, craftsmanship, and seasonal storytelling, Aurora established the creative process and interdisciplinary approach that would continue to evolve throughout my later work.
